Leaves and Decay

from Fables by Mt. Analogue

/

lyrics

Birch trees sway
I Take another breath
Dirt skull air
Taste the smell of death
Water it trickles and flows in the distance
Question the point of this trip
And existence
Watching the leaves hit the ground
Chirping and flapping absorbing the sound
Sounds like a trembling axiom
Pieces of life aren’t attached to them
Pulling the roots by the stem

Gifted this life from a life that has passed
And I’m passing it on
Lines on these poems
Pulling the light from what’s gone
Pulling the light from what’s gone

Venomous hollows
Howl in the distance
Distantly marking my path with persistence
Rocks in my shoes the blues of the hues
Split sky and clouds fly by dew
Drips
Down to my lips and my forehead
Finding my deathbed
My ego is misled
Marching on I feel the essence of the forest
Spongy and porous
I try to enjoy this
Treatment
Finding solace in the Intent
Lost in the leaves and the decay
It’s okay
I’m okay
I’m breathing dry heaving and meeting
Myself for the first time
Please for the last time
Grinding my teeth to a pulp
Turning my thoughts to the mulch
Making my way to my feet I’m feeling distress
It’s impressing me, flowers are sprouting I’ve lost myself
Treeline peaking, and I’m peeking out the treeline
Sycamore and what is more I’m feeling like a fresh pine
Calm down, all of these animals are your allies
Owl eyes glisten and peer through the night sky
Spying me, beast of a man
Palms of my hands and I’m handing myself to the Woods
Misunderstood my intentions were good
Willow and weep at my feet
How sweet
Grass stained consciousness
Draining the succulents
Masking the taste of the life on my mind
Holy Divine and watching the signs
Flesh to seed to rind
Grotesque feedback dropping my backpack
Stumble on dirt tracks
Reaching through pitch black
Time was irrelevant
Tusks of the elephant
Elevation of the mind through the roots

Merciful lights find a way I’m inclined to describe this
Event as a song
Whether right or I’m wrong
I experienced something
Nothing, I’m bile from nature
I’m no nomenclature
We’re everything
Suffering celebrations on the edge of Minds eye
Living where time flies
We’re just the flies on decay
Decay it is natural
Birch trees sway
