My goal with this song was to make something happy. Something that would make the listener's soul sing! However, I started to notice all of these tinges of melancholy start to bubble to the surface during the creative process. If you think about it, that's how happiness is. That's how all emotions are. They aren't these static things. They are more so an amalgamation of many different emotions all converging into one experience. It's okay to feel happy and sad at the same time. It's okay to feel many different ways all at once. Be with your emotions.
